My first day at Curvy is Sexy

Meine Liebsten - es waren drei unglaublich aufregende Tage in Berlin. Unfassbar viele Eindrücke, neue Bekanntschaften und Erlebnisse. Ich möchte Euch so viel und so detailliert wie möglich alles erzählen.

Tag 1 und die Nacht davor
Meine Reise nach Berlin begann am Montag. Mit meinem kleinen Koffer, Handtasche und Kamera bewaffnet machte ich mich direkt vom Büro aus mit dem Zug zum Flughafen. Abgeflogen bin ich von Zürich. Ein sehr modern gestalteter Flughafen mit tollen Geschäften wie Gucci und Hèrmes. Im Duty Free war ich kurz davor mein Berlin Budget bei Mac auszugeben, konnte mich aber gerade noch mal zügeln. Stattdessen besorgte ich mir einen Mach Green Tea Latte bei Starbucks und hielt bis zum Abflug die Luft an, dass der dunkel graue, fast schwarze Himmel nicht in ein Gewitter ausarten würde. Der Flug an sich war dann etwas wackelig, aber Gott sei Dank schnell vorbei. In Berlin angekommen sprang ich in ein Taxi und düste ins Hotel. Dort wartete die liebe Yvonne bereits auf mich, die sich mit mir das Zimmer teilte. Ich packte noch schnell meine Kleider aus, ging duschen und dann ins Bett.

Am nächsten Tag fuhr ich mit Yvonne im Taxi rüber zu Unter den Linden ins Palazzo Italiano. Ich war so aufgeregt, denn endlich sollte ich meine Mädels aus der Blogger Gruppe kennenlernen. Klar, man kennt sich vom Blog, aber dann tatsächlich die Mädels zu treffen war aufregend. Als erstes traf ich auf Sonja, Katha und Lina, drei süsse Mädels aus dem Rhein-Main Gebiet, meiner Heimat. Ich freute mich sehr Katja kennenzulernen, denn als ich damals anfing Plus Size Blogs zu lesen, war Kathas Blog der erste auf dem ich hängen blieb und heute noch sehr gern lese.

Zusammen steuerten wir den großartigen Stand von Mat an. Mat ist ein griechisches Label, das es ausserhalb von Griechenland auch online z.B. bei Navabi zu kaufen gibt. Wir wurden direkt super freundlich von George empfangen, der uns gleich ein bisschen etwas über Mat erzählte. Ich habe Euch ein paar Bilder meiner Lieblingsteile mitgebracht. Besonders verliebt bin ich in ein leichtes rosafarbenes Shirt mit Biesen und einem T-Shirt mit niedlicher Rückenpartie. Beide Teile hingen auf der Stange und haben so laut "Jennifer!" gerufen. Genau mein Fall. Mat werde ich zukünftig genau im Auge behalten.

My dears - I spent incredible and exciting three days in Berlin. So many impressions, new contacts and experiences. I want to show you everything as detailed as possible.

Day 1 and the night before
My journey to Berlin started on Monday. Together with my small suitcase, a bag and my camera I headed to the airport right after work. I took a plane from Zürich airport, a very modern and fancy airport full of shops like Gucci and Hèrmes. At the duty free shop I almost spent my money on Mac Cosmetics but I could catch myself again and headed to Starbucks to get a matcha green tea latte. The weather outside wasn't good. It looked like thunder and lightning and I was holding my breath that the bad weather wouldn't crash down on us when my plane was supposed to leave. But everything turned out good and my journey steppet up to the next round. When I finally got to Berlin, I headed straight to the hotel where Yvonne was already waiting for me as the two of us were sharing a room. After a shower I fell right into bed.

The next day, Yvonne and I took a taxi to Unter den Linden to the Palazzo Italiano. I was so excited to meet all the other blogger girls. The first ones I met were Sonja, Katha and Lina, three incredible cute girls from my native area - the Rhein-Main area. I was so happy to meet Katha as her blog was the first Plus Size blog I ever read and I still love reading it.

All together we headed to the stand of Mat a Greek label you get to shop online e.g. at Navabi. We were greeted nice and friendly by George who told us a little about the brand. I got some pictures for you of my favorite items for you. I am so in love with a light pink cording shirt and a T-Shirt with an adorable back side. Both of them were yelling my name. So what of my style. I will keep an eye on Mat in the future.

Vor dem Stand von Zizzi gab es kostenloses und extrem leckeres Eis. Mit unserem Eis in der Hand machten wir uns rüber zum Laufsteg um noch Sitzplätze für die nächste Fashion Show zu bekommen.

Nach der Show entdeckte ich die wundervolle Manuela, die ich schon im Januar kennengelernt hatte.

A wonderful idea: free ice cream in front of the Zizzi stand. We all got us some ice cream and went to the cat walk to reserve some seats for the upcoming fashion show.

Afterwards I met Manuela, who I already met in January.

Gegen Nachmittag kam dann auch die hinreissende Lisa auf die Messe. Lisa und ich hatten auf Anhieb einen guten Draht zu einander und stöberten danach gemeinsam über die Messe. Zusammen mit Stephie ging es dann erst mal zu Zizzi. Ich muss eines loswerden: Stephie hat einfach wunderschöne Haare und ist "in echt" genau so schön wie auf dem Blog.

Zizzi hat uns einfach nur umgeworfen! Der Stand rockte genauso wie die Klamotten, die wir dort zu Gesicht bekamen. Am liebsten hätten wir alles mitgenommen. Leuchtende Farben und aufregende Schnitte. Es wird auch eine eigene Subline geben: WOW - Wardrobe of Wonders. Noch etwas aussergewöhnlicher und mit ausgefallenen Stoffen. Henriette führe uns über die Ausstellungsfläche und zeigte uns die High Lights. Wir waren an diesem Tag nicht das letzte Mal am Stand von Zizzi.

In the afternoon my gorgeous Lisa got to the fair. We had a great connection right away so we walked around the fair together. Along with Stephie we started out with Zizzi. There is one thing I have to tell you about Stephie: "in real life" she is even more beautiful then on her blog and I envy her for her hair.

Zizzi just knocked us off our feet. The stand and the clothes were equally rocking. I would have loved just to take everything there and run back home. Shining colors amazing fitting. There will also be a brand new subline: WOW - Wordrobe of Wonders. The subline will be even more exciting and thrilling. Henriette was showing us around the displays and presented the high lights. This visit wasn't the last for this and all the other days.

Im zweiten Stock ging es als nächstes zu Yoek, ein Label mit drei Linien, Yoek, Black Label und der neuen jüngeren Linie Miss Y loves Yoek. Begrüsst wurden wir von Sanne, die extra in Berlin war um uns die neue Kollektion zu zeigen. Miss Y loves Yoek ist eine sichtbar modernere und lockere Linie als Black Label und York, aber dennoch sophisticated. I like!! Zur Feier der neuen Linie durften wir uns im Vorfeld ein Teil der aktuellen Sommerkollektion heraussuchen und es in Berlin am Messestand abholen. Ich hatte mich für ein grünes Chiffon Top mit Volants entschieden. Grün ist untertrieben, es ist ein hell leuchtendes Kiwi Grün. Als ich es in den Händen hielt war ich so was von begeistert. Farbe und Stoff einfach toll und es trägt absolut nicht auf. Ich liebe es! Danke noch mal an dieser Stelle. Bevor wir den herzlichen Stand von Yoek wieder verliessen, machten wir noch ein Gruppen Foto. Yoek ist auf jeden Fall ein Label, das mich als Kundin gewonnen hat. Einen kleinen Vorgeschmack der Kollektion und des Tops seht ihr hier.

On the second floor our next stop was Yoek, a brand with three labels, Yoek, Black Label and the new subline Miss Y loves Yoek. We were greeted by Sanne who came all the way to Berlin to show the new collection to us all. Miss Y loves Yoek is a younger and more easy going collection but still sophisticated - I like!! To celebrate this new line we had the chance to pick one item out of the current summer collection and got to pick it up at the fair. I decided for a green top with ruffles. It's a bright kiwi green. I was so excited and happy. The fabric and the color are amazing. I love it. Thank you very much once again. Before we left the stand we took pictures all together. Yoek is a label that seriously won me over as a new customer. Here is a little sneak peak of the collection and the top.

Als nächstes ging es weiter zu Ulla Popken. Im Januar hat mich Ulla Popken sehr positiv mit einer erfrischend jungen Kollektion überrascht. Nicola zeigte uns die verschiedenen Linien.Kleines Highlight, Lisa Stephie und ich durften ein Model so stylen, wie wir es wollten. Das Model bekamen hippes Outfit mit lässiger Jeans und sportivem Oberteil mit Blumenprint. Auch wenn es am Stand von Ulla Popken sehr viel zu sehen gab, war das nur ein kleiner Teil ihres Repertoires, denn Nicola erzählte uns, dass alle vier Wochen ein neues Sortiment rauskommt. Besonders begeistert hat mich übrigens eine Hose mit lila-glitzerndem Schlangenprint. Absolut irre.

Next stop Ulla Popken. Back in January, Ulla Popken totally surprised me with a modern and young collection, so I was pretty excited to get to that stand. Nicola showed us the different sublines. A little high light: Lisa, Stephie and I got to style a model. We styled her with a pair of jeans and a sporty shirt with flower print. There was a whole lot of clothes at the stand of Ulla Popken but there is way more to discover as there is a new collection every four weeks. By the way, I am thrilled for a pair of purple snake print pants!

Direkt neben an war der Stand von Junarose. Lisa und ich unterhielten uns mit Anne und machten und dann über die Kleiderstangen her. Junarose ist Hippe trendige junge Mode zu wirklich erschwinglichen Preisen, was die Mode von Junarose noch einmal interessanter macht. Hier ging der Trend ganz klar in die sportive Richtung in Anlehnung an den College Stil.

Right next to Ulla Popken was Junarose. Lisa and I had a great conversation with Anne and then we totally focused on the clothes. Junarose is a hip, trendy and young brand for affordable prices which makes Junarose pretty interesting. The new collection's trend is all about college style.

Der letzte Stand an diesem Tag war Via Appia mit den drei Linien Via Appia Due, B2 by Via Appia und Frapp. Ich bin jetzt mal absolut ehrlich: Bis lang habe ich bei Via Appia nicht wirklich etwas gefunden, was mich umgehauen hat. Schöne Teile gab es, aber es hat das gewisse Etwas gefehlt. Diesmal nicht. Ich bin vernarrt in Frapp - ich kann es nicht anders sagen. Im Dezember kommt der Teil der Kollektion raus, die so laut Jennifer brüllt, dass es nicht mehr zu überhören ist. Apricto mit Glitzer und Zebra und anderen Mustern und Materialmix. Warum ist es noch so lange hin bis Dezember? Mega erfrischend war das offene und ehrliche Gespräch mit Elke zum Thema Plus Size Design. Danke für diese tolle Unterhaltung!

The last stop for Tuesday was Via Appia with the three sublines Via Appia Due, B2 by Via Appia and Frapp. Let me be honest with you: Until now I never found something at Via Appia that knocked me off my feet. Sure, several cute clothes but nothing spectacular, they always missed that extra pinch of wow. Well until now. Frapp is amazing! Can't say it any other way - I love Frapp. Some of the clothes I instantly fell in love with will be available in December. December, why, so long to go! You know that feeling when you look at something and it screams your name? Well I had that with an apricot color shirt with zebra sleeves and glitter. I would also like to mention the open and honest conversation we had with Elke about the Plus Size Design. Amazing. Thank you!

Von Via Appia ging es direkt ins Hotel, duschen, umziehen und mit Lisa einen Burger mit Süsskartoffel Pommes essen.

Mein abschliessendes Resümee des Tages: HAMMER GEIL! Einen anderen Ausdruck kann ich nicht finden.

Ganz klare Gewinner an diesem Tag für mich sind:

Mat - genau mein Fall
Zizzi - Wie immer grandios
Yoek - herzlicher Stand mit tollen Teilen
Via Appia - Frapp ist wirklich klasse!

Kollektion, Farbe, Stoffe und Ehrlichkeit haben einfach begeistert.

Hier noch ein paar Impressionen des Tages.

Straight from Via Appia we went to hotel, got a shower, changed and then Lisa and I went out for dinner. We had an amazing burger and yam fries. So delicious.
