Auf nach München

Munich - here I come

Heute in einer Woche reise ich in das schöne München. Nein, nicht nur weil München eine scöne Stadt ist. Ihr kennt sicher alle Tanja Marfo von Kurvenrausch und wisst, dass Anfang Oktober in Hamburg die Plus Size Fashion Days stattfinden werden. Die liebe Tanja hat daher deutschlandweit zu einem Casting aufgerufen. Ihr Ziel ist Vielfältigkeit und der Beweis, dass jede Frau schön sein kann, egal welche Konfektionsgröße sie trägt - und wie hoch sie gewachsen ist. 

Ich Moppelhobbit bin natürlich bei der Körpergröße hellhörig geworden. Ich bin gerade mal 1,62cm - steht so zumindest im Ausweis, kann aber auch durchaus sein, dass ich doch noch etwas kleiner bin. Sollen hier wirklich auch Moppelhobbits ihre Chance bekommen, einmal bei einer Fashion Show über den Catwalk zu laufen? Probieren geht über Studieren und hinterher ist man immer schlauer, habe ich mir gedacht und beschlossen zum Casting zu fahren und es einfach darauf ankommen zu lassen. Ob es etwas wird oder nicht - dabei sein ist alles. Ausserdem, je mehr Frauen zu Tanjas Castings kommen, desto mehr kann sie sich ein Gehör in der Welt da draussen verschaffen und ihre Arbeit ist es wert mehr und mehr gewürdigt zu werden. 

Am Freitag werde ich also in München sein und mich der Casting Jury stellen. Ich freue mich schon darauf. Sollte es klappen, geht ein kleiner Traum in Erfüllung. Also drückt mir die Daumen oder noch besser: Kommt einfach selbst vorbei. Das Casting findet bei Ulla Popken statt. Kommt vorbei ohne Voranmeldung. Ich werde so gegen frühen Nachmittag da sein.

Am Wochenende drauf werde ich Euch natürlich ausführlich vom Casting und meinem Tag in München berichten. Einen Vorgeschmack gibt es von Lisa. Bleibt gespannt. 

Friday next week will be the day I get to go to Munich. No, not only because it is a beautiful city. You all may know Tanja Marfo of Kurvenrausch and are excited about the Plus Size Fashion Days in Hamburg in October. Tanja called for a nationwide casting tour. Her aim is to prove diversity, that every woman is beautiful, no matter of her size - and height. 

The cubby hobbit you all perfectly know got all excited about that height info. I am about 1,62m which is about 5ft3. I might be a little shorter, I am not sure, the 1,62m are just written in my passport. But could that be real? Does a chubby hobbit have the once in a lifetime chance to walk a catwalk for a fashion show? Well, the proof of the pudding is in the eating and it's easy to be wise after the event so I decided to got to Munich, to push my luck and try my best at the casting. Being part of all that is that what's count. The more ladies swing their curves to that casting the more people will recognize Tanjas great work. 

So I will be there. On Friday. In Munich. At the casting. I am so excited. If my courage bears fruit a little childhood dream would come true. So cross your fingers for me and wish me luck - no better - come up to the casting and try your best as well. The casting will be at the Ulla Popken shop. You don't have to sign up in advance. I will be there early in the afternoon.
